What travelers say about Marco
Dear Marco, From the moment you picked us up on Venice, the trip did not disappoint. Enjoyed every stop, the wineries, cheese and prosciutto factories, the list is endless. All the lovely towns and delicious food. Enjoyed being with your family, simply the best! Love every beautiful moment.
Julie and I had such an amazing time traveling with you! We will never forget this vacation. We could have never imagined the friendships that have developed! You all are wonderful people and we cannot wait to get together again soon!
Dear Marco, I could not thank you enough for all that you taught us and all the experiences we had while we were with you. You have opened my eyes to the wines of Piemonte, including the properties in Barolo,
Thank you again!!

Master Sommelier Marco Avigo
Born and raised in Italy, Marco was among the youngest Master Sommeliers to graduate from the Italian Sommeliers Association in Milan — a distinction that opened doors across the country’s finest cellars and kitchens. For nearly two decades he owned and operated a celebrated restaurant on the shores of Lake Garda, where he built the relationships and the reputation that would define the rest of his career.
Today, based in the United States and shaped by thirty years of living between two worlds, Marco brings a perspective that few can offer — the cultural fluency of someone who grew up in Italy, and the understanding of someone who knows exactly what American travelers hope to find there.
His connections with winemakers, chefs, and families across Italy have been built over a lifetime — with a genuine love for the country he calls home.
